Empire Vents Cylus Paintball Mask Single Lens

Empire goggle systems have been around for some time and have made some of the nicest mask out there with the best range of vision. Empire currently makes two different styles of mask, the events, and the cylus which is their cheaper version of a mask. Below is a description of the empire cylus:

The Single Lens Cylus is the cheaper mask that empire makes but still stands with the Empire brand behind it. The cylus has dual density foam, Clear single lens, Breath blocker, Hars TPC construction, and a visor.

The Cylus also looks a lot like the events, just with more of a harder plastic as a mold to the mask. This mask is great for any paintballer getting into the sport or wanting the events look at a lower price.

Smart Parts 2009 Impulse

Note: This gun is currently for sale as pre-order. All orders placed will be processed and held until the item arrives. A shipping label will be printed but it will not become active until the item ships out. The expected arrival date of this marker is mid to late June. This is current information from the manufacturer. Any changes will be updated immediately.

The 2009 Impulse will be an even bigger hit then the original Classic Impulse. There have been many changes to the gun including a non line set-up. These guns have been reproduced and manufactured to compete at tournament level.

The Classic Impulse was one of the most popular electropneumatic paintball markers ever produced. It found its way into the winner's circle in the hands of teams like the All Americans and Strange. Pros loved it for its performance and amateurs loved it for its price. Even though it has been out of production for several years, it remains a popular used marker due to its fast rate of fire, simple cleaning requirements and rock-solid reliability.

Easy Vision Maintenance – What’s worse than losing an eye cover or critical screw in the staging pit? We can’t think of much, that’s why we infused the Impulse with a technology that has been around since the middle ages – hinges. The Impulse has hinged eye covers that latch securely shut, but pop instantly open at the flick of a latch, making clean-up fast and trouble free.

Air Cushioned Piston – As if the ultra-low firing piston pressure wasn’t enough, we also contoured the gas channels in the Impulse to provide an air buffer so that the bolt and piston come to a gentle stop at each end of their movement, instead of a hard knock. That gets rid of vibration so you can shoot a rope of paint as smooth as silk.

Impulse Command Panel – Straight-forward common-sense design puts full control of the Impulse right where you need it. The Impulse Command Panel at the rear of the marker’s grip frame gives electronic control with the power and programming button and pressure control with direct allen wrench access to both regulators.

Venting ASA – Screw-in air systems are where it’s at. The easy to turn knob on our integrated hoseless ASA will turn your air system on, or turn it off, and vent pressure to save its o-ring.

Lithium Polymer Power – You don’t have to run to the corner store to buy batteries for your cell phone, and you shouldn’t have to do that for your paintgun. A built in lithium polymer battery uses the same technology that drives mobile phones to drive your game. Just in case you blow through the battery’s optimal 100,000 shot charge in a single game (how many pods are you carrying?!?) and don’t have time to charge, we’ve got you covered. Our designers gave the impulse snap-grips and a spare battery. Swapping for a charged battery requires no tools and takes only seconds.

Two-Stage Regulation – Sure, a maker needs a regulator, but two? That’s the secret to recoil elimination. The primary regulator in the Impulse grip sets the pressure of the air used to fire each paintball, and is tuned to adjust velocity and to get the maximum efficiency a poppet valve can deliver. This gives the Impulse the ability to shoot 1700 to 1800 shots from a 68ci 4500 psi tank. The Impulse is also equipped with a secondary regulator which drops the pressure further to an ultra-low 50 psi. That’s about half what competing poppet valve markers use for their rams, but we can do that because we don’t need to beat on our valve to get it to open. That makes the Impulse incredibly gentle with brittle paint, and totally gets rid of the kick.

Grip Integrated Regulators – No, the regulators aren’t in the foregrip – they are in the grip frame, in a pair of compact modular packages. Both Regulators can be quickly removed, cleaned and rebuilt with a minimum of tools.

Integrated Relief Valve – We’ve noticed that some air system manufacturers have started leaving low-pressure burst disks out of their designs. We don’t but that is because we care about your safety. We don’t think your Impulse should have to pay for the price if their regulator leaks and delivers too much pressure. The Impulse foregrip not only serves as a super-sized volume chamber for the fire valve, but it also houses an integrated relief valve that safely vents off excessive pressure.

Pressure Balanced Poppet Valve – When you get your hands on an Impulse, take a look at the front. That’s not a volume chamber under the barrel (we put a much bigger one in the foregrip, but that’s another story.) it’s the valve housing. In its center you’ll see the white front end of our valve core. Unlike most poppet valves, ours is exposed to atmospheric pressure on both ends. Instead of just pushing the valve shut, the gas pressure inside the valve pushes in both directions. The two opposing forces cancel each other out and the valve can be opened with just a gentle nudge. This means we don’t have to slam a heavy ram or hammer around inside the marker. Without all the banging around, it’s easy to shoot straight on the target, every time.

Hose Free Design – Hoses? We don’t need no stinkin’ hoses! Hoses can break. Hose fitting can leak. We got rid of the hoses and got rid of the problem. Compressed air flows through channels machined into the Impulse body and grip frame.

The Freak Barrel System – It’s the choice of champions because it works. A Freak compatible impulse Impulse barrel back holds a Freak insert and 14-inch All American barrel front. Out of the box, it’s a great barrel, with the addition of a full The Freak insert kit, it’s a complete barrel system ready for any playing condition.

Q-Lock Feedneck – It’s practically the industry standard. Our lever latching feedneck keeps your hopper securely in place, but unlocks in an instant.

Proto Paintball Masks

Proto paintball is the sister company of DYE, which is one of the most well known product lines in paintball today. DYE has been around since the beginning of the sport and has continued to create and improve on their products every year since. When Proto was released to the paintball world everyone took to it right away without hesitation. Not only did Proto have the backbone of one of the most liked companies in the sport, but Proto also had the same quality as the Dye products at a fraction of the costs.

The Proto paintball masks meet all safety standards, are very comfortable, have great ventilation, and have a very easy way to remove the lens for quicker cleaning and changing of the lenses. The lens on all the Proto goggle systems are removed by pushing the two tabs up where the goggle straps attach to it and the lens will simply pop out. The Proto masks available are the as followed:

Proto EL Switch Paintball Mask is one of the first masks Proto produced and is a single lens (non-thermal) that is great for anybody getting into the sport and looking for comfort at an affordable price.

Proto Switch FS Thermal Paintball Mask is the same mask as the Proto EL mask (Pictured to the right) but is a double lens (thermal) which prevents the goggle from fogging up on you when playing.

Proto Axis Mask W/ Free Game Timer is the second generation of masks produced by Proto with a new sleek design with even more ventilation and comfort. The Axis Mask is a thermal lensed mask and comes with a free game timer to help ensure you hang that flag before your time is up.

Proto Axis Pro Mask is the newest Proto goggle system (PICTURED ON LEFT). The mask is almost identical to the basic axis mask besides the new design in the ventilation and a few other small changes.

Empire Event Masks

Empire goggle systems have been around for some time and have made some of the nicest mask out there with the best range of vision. Empire currently makes two different styles of mask, the events, and the cylus which is their cheaper version of a mask. Below is a description of the empire events.

The E-Vents lens system is a very advanced and optically correct lens. Although at first glance it looks like a flat lens it actually changes in thickness to maintain the best optical quality possible. The power imbalance, which means how your eyes see for straight ahead, is 0.00 for both Spherical power imbalance and Astigmatism power imbalance (the value is so small it can not be read with conventional testing equipment). What does this mean? It means what you are seeing is really where you think it is, so you can be more accurate in your shooting.

The lens is an extremely safe quick release system. It can be replaced in seconds, but yet is held very securely into the mask and frame. Unlike other quick release systems the E-Vent’s lens fits in under the nose piece. This means the nose area does not deflect in when shot, so it prevents the ingress of paint into the goggle under the lens. To further lock the lens into place there is a tongue and groove around the edge of the lens and goggle. This prevents shots at the edge of the lens forcing paint up into the goggle and helps maintain a high safety factor. The Lens is held in at the sides with very robust retainers, which also hold the high quality metallic Empire logos. This simply pushes through the lens and the goggle, then secured in place inside the frame by placing the end of the strap clip over the retainer and twisting down into position. The added safety being that you can not have the strap in place if the lens is not in the goggle properly. So you can not wear the goggle until a lens is in place. It is a very quick and easy process so you can pick and choose lenses to suit your playing conditions.
